Here’s your new favourite Swimsuit

swimwear

A swimming costume or bikini is probably the most important purchase of the Summer, so it’s one you want to get just right. Whatever your body shape and personal style, there’s a super swimsuit to suit you!

Stand-Out Swimsuit

If you want to turn heads on the beach then back away from basic black and go for eye-catching colour and pattern instead. Spots and stripes never go out of style, and a colourful cut-out swimsuit gives extra fashion points.

swimwear

Perfectly Petite

If you’re looking for a swimsuit to suit a small frame or bust then remember that voluminous frills and ruffles will both add interest. The gypsy-style Leandra Off Shoulder Bikini by Lisa Marie Fernandez is a winner for those who dare to be different. The off-shoulder style is bang on trend too.

swimwear

Killer Curves

The halterneck bikini top is a curvy girl’s best friend for the beach. The Daisy Print Bikini by Dolce and Gabbana is super cute and there are matching retro-style high waist bikini shorts too.

swimwear

Poolside Posing

If you’re not actually planning on getting closer to the water than a poolside sunlounger, La Perla has some incredible swimsuits for posing up a storm in. The sequined ‘Dreamland’ plunge swimsuit is a white hot number that will go great with whatever cocktail you’ve got in your hand – just be careful not to spill!

swimwear

Waterpark Ready

Whether you’re keen to do some actual swimming, or want something that will stay put on the waterpark slides, a proper swimming costume definitely has a place in every suitcase. Onia has a good range of sturdy swimwear that will withstand the waves. The Devyn zip-up top is a sporty, supportive alternative, if a one-piece doesn’t appeal.

Top Spring 2017 Style Inspirations

We’re there, spring has started and we can almost feel the heat (Ehm, sometimes at least). Surely, you might be wondering what are the staples items that you’ll need in your wardrobe to stand out from the crowd,  well, then you should keep on reading!

1. Bralettes

This declares the end of an era: the push-up bra era, instead, the bralette is in.

2. Shine in Fuchsia

Pink is back! Very happy about this one since is, admittedly,  my favourite colour…

Emily Ratajkowski wearing pink.

3.Parisian Chic

Like Taylor loves a classic striped Bretton top,  we all know that a  cute Bretton top will never date, so it makes a smart addition to any wardrobe.

4.Cool Co-Ords

Co-ords are the number one alternative to a dress. For extra cool points, go for a culotte co-ord instead of a skirt or shorts.

 5.Kitten Heels

The low-stiletto hasn’t often had a great reputation in fashion, however, there are  so many positive sides in wearing it: comfortable, versatile and  now with many cool variations rather than the classic old version

6. The Eighties

You probably might have noticed that there’s been a resurrection of ’80s fashion trends both on the runway and the street lately. If you know how to interpret the style, it’s totally possible to pull it off even though is quite risky and not the easiest one.

7. Tulle

I’m a big fan of SATC and had to buy a pink one myself. It suits for any occasion but I wore it primarily at ceremonies.Even though quite a few years have passed since that famous opening credit it’s still on trend wearing a tutu or a tulle skirt.

Relaxed Summer Style

A pull-on printed playsuit is the Holy grail of casual all-in-ones, ideal for heading to the park in this summer. The Lula Cold Shoulder Floral Playsuit by Ecot is a super cute take on the cold shoulder trend.

 Hitting the beach

A bright, vest-style playsuit is great for throwing on over your bikini after a day at the beach. The bright floral pattern makes this H&M playsuit a winner.

Eveningwear

When playing out after dark you need an elegant yet alluring playsuit to sizzle in. The one below is an example of what I mean 🙂

Dinner Date

A playsuit is an on-trend alternative to a dress for a dinner date as well, you can go for a piece with some lovely lace detailing like the for a gorgeous outfit for a romantic meal for two. This one from Modern Citizen is a culotte jumpsuit which will definitely fit for the occasion!

Work, Work, Work

There’s no reason why a playsuit can’t work in the office. Choose a tailored playsuit for a smarter look. The smoke ring one from Free People with the flower embroidery is as perfect for the office as it is for going out on the tiles.

Lovely Loungewear

A jersey playsuit is a great addition to any loungewear wardrobe. The Deep V Lace Romper from Express is the ideal off-duty piece for comfy chill out time.

A day at the Museum of Modern Art in Rome | GNAM

GNAM is the acronym for Galleria Nazionale D’Arte Moderna (National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rome) and is located in Via delle Belle Arti in Rome.

The Cesare Bazzani-designed neo-classical building is known as Palazzo delle Belle Arti (Palace of Fine Arts) and it was completed in 1915.

I was very impressed by the exterior of the building and the dialogue between modern and classic also highlighted by the current exhibition theme Time Is Out Of Joint – that is displaying classical Roman statues with modern and contemporary pieces of art.

Top Five Shoes For Spring and Summer

sandals

Summer’s here, which means it’s time to put those boots to the back of the wardrobe! These five fab shoes will take you from beach to festival and beyond for a brilliantly well-heeled Summer season:

1 – The Jelly

Cute, sweet and super practical for the beach, the jelly shoe is a Summer essential. Forget the t-bar jellies of your childhood though – grown-up jellies are a whole lot more stylish. Ted Baker has a fantastic range of gorgeous jelly shoes, including the Black Layered Bow Jelly Sandals. Or for something a little different, the Ancient Greek label has amazing jellies with unique wing detail at the ankle.

2 – The Gladiator

Strappy gladiators never go out of style, and they’re a great way to jazz up a swimsuit to go from beach to bar on holiday. If you don’t want to have to deal with awkward tan lines though, go for a pair that just strap up to ankle height! This pair from Ancient Greek Sandals is a dream for Summer.

3 – The Espadrille Wedge

A wedge is the perfect Summer shoe when you want a little bit of height but still want to rock a casual look. An espadrille-style wedge is a great look for the beach, and will add height and laid-back style to your holiday outfits. Wear with everything from swimwear on the sand to a playsuit for afterdark adventures.

4 – The Heeled Mule

The mule is the ultimate slip-on slip-off Summer shoe, and makes a great replacement for your Winter courts. Choose an open toe mule with a heel like the Wanda Welted Mule by DKNY and you’ve got a very versatile shoe that works as well for the office as it does for long Summer evenings out on the town.

5 – The Clog

A chunky clog-style heel is ideal when you want a comfy, casual shoe for sightseeing or festivals. Look effortlessly cool in the sunshine in clogs and a boho style dress or cold-shoulder top. Free People is an exciting label with loads of lovely clogs in its Summer collection

Spring is here: get yourself multi-Coloured!

Multi-Coloured Magic

Although Summer is here, unfortunately, that doesn’t always guarantee good weather. Chase away the clouds with a rainbow-coloured outfit that will put you in a bright, sunny mood, whatever the weatherman says! Here’s some magical multi-coloured inspiration:

The Chloe ‘Jamie’ Sandal

Chloe is one label loving the multi-coloured strap sandal this summer, with several variations on the Jamie available. These chunky-heeled sandals have knotted straps in all colours of the rainbow, for perfectly pretty, colourful feet that will pep up any outfit! White is fantastic as it lets the colourful straps really pop. Also available in a wedge and in black.

SANDAL

The Farragamo Sara Bucket Bag

The Farragamo Sara range has some super-sweet colourful arm candy that’s impossible to say no to. We love the Rainbow Bucket Bag, as it’s got a shoulder strap and a handle for extra versatility.

The Valentino 1973 Range

The 1973 range by Valentino is an explosion of colour, with rainbow-coloured everything from bags, sandals and shoes to dresses, tops, shorts and coats. Amal Clooney was recently seen rocking the rainbow in the 1973 Striped Dress, so you’ll be in very stylish company!

Jaded London Rainbow Mesh  swimwear

There’s no need to go top to toe rainbow to rock the multi-coloured look. If you prefer a more subtle style, choose a piece with just a pop of primary colour magic. This swimwear with a rainbow stripe pattern is all what you need to hit the beaches!

MiH Jeans Multi-Colour Chevron Skirt

If you prefer your colours on the more muted side, this sweet little suede mini combines inky blue, mustard yellow, red, brown and black to give a colour pop that’s less in your face. Guaranteed to look amazing with any simple black top.

OOTD: Wandering around South Kensington

Styling your wardrobe in a climate like London during spring time is nothing but a layering game.

You can literally experience four seasons in a day: entering the tube when is sunny and hot outside and getting out when is dark and pouring down with no hopes on earth of a dim ray of light. Therefore, sometimes, there’s no choice left but to throw on this and throw on that just so you can stay warm and fresh when needed = Layering.

In this instances, I do miss my Italian Mediterranean Springs just because of the “decidedness” of the weather that made my life much more simple.

While here in London, the weather is consistently wet, windy and cold which just forces me to leave behind my Mediterranean logic and, instead, grab my warmest outfits and pullover sweater along with my (always-on-me) Chelsea boots.

This time around though I decided to show a little bit more of the “fashionista logic” and put aside my most comfortable looks for a day. And here’s the result:

Top Trends from London Fashion Week

london fashion week

One of the UK’s most coveted event of the year, London Fashion Week has been running recently for few weeks and I was there to share my experience with you :).

Working for a fashion company I have a hint of how important it is to know before everyone else does, what the trends are going to be like for the coming season. However, you don’t really need to work for a fashion company to witness the buzz, the franticness and the excitement you get in London during those weeks, which is palpable even for an outsider.

This event has been running by the British Fashion Council for 30 years now and, this year, the main venue for the presentation space was the 180 Strand. A flock of bloggers, press and influencers had been gathering the venues to be the first to know what the next cutting-edge piece or designer of the season are.

From the likes of Alexander Mc Queen, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry and Cristopher Kane I’ll give you some insights of what the next IT Brit Label will be.

The classic and ubiquitous English rose took root across the catwalks from Emilia Wickstead, Topshop Unique, Preen and Mulberry.

5.Voluminous sleeves

Statement sleeves are, also, one of the biggest trends. Whatever it’d be puffed, trumpet, tiered etc…you name it!

How to style your out-of-duty look

Want to wear a comfortable outfit but yet look cool? Read on to find out some ultimate inspiring street style trends.

All-Black

Going all black is a classic style to carry on streets. Especially when ‘off duty’,  it’s a good idea to still try to keep up appearance.. you never know what might happen or to whom you might bump into! For that, an oversized crop top sweater in black and fake leather black mini skirt is all you need to pull off a look.

Leather Love

The leather jacket is every female’s all-time best friend. Colours other than black and blue like crimson and jade look are fabulous and alluring when paired with t-shirts, simple blouses or even lose-fit long gowns. It is a first-rate afternoon street style.

Less is more

We do not always have to grab something flashy. A classy tee with a camel coat and loafers showing off your ankles is enough to make a ravishing statement out on streets.

Embellishments, colours and glitters don’t always catch attention neither do you want to go all glamourous all the time while planning to hit the streets. That’s when unembellished apparel comes handy. Be daring and knock off a beauteous look in anything which drapes your body beautifully.

Denim over Denim

Who says you can’t go all blue in denim when you can go all black from head to toe?  Denim buttoned shirt over ripped denim jeans; that’s what you call all the shades of blue!

In love with Sneakers

Pairing up sneakers or flat boots with anything is an effortless sporty and high-class combo. Sneaker’s convention never comes to an end. I love to go on a break from heels and let my feet remain comfy while marching across the streets of London.

Colours, Prints and patterns

Streetstyle Milan

Fashion should also be fun. I always try to mix and match what I think it would fit in.
Go with eye-catching bright colours, food prints, and striped jackets. Layering these all is the key to a bona fide look!

To make it all sassier, dab on a red lipstick and a take up an impressive clutch bag and you’re good to go!

How to Work Waterproof Footwear

There’s much more to waterproof shoes than just flip-flops for the beach, there’s actually a waterproof shoe for every occasion – and as they’re great for all weathers and look cool, there’s no reason not to jump on the jelly trend!

At a Festival

Protection from the mud is essential at a festival, as you know that rain is as good as guaranteed! Full-on wellies are a must in this occasion (as in the above iconic picture of Kate Moss at Glastonbury Festival).

Planning a winter break?

If you are planning a winter break for the beach you’d want a shoe that’s easy to slip on and off easily. If you want to go for something different to the flip-flops that you’ll see on everyone else’s feet, slip into a slider instead, like Gigi Hadid does below.

Spring Showers

Brit Boots that Celebrities love are –  of course –  the Chelsea Boots. These are the boots that I wear five days in a row in London, and that usually,  get me through Autumn/ Winter/ Spring and sometimes also – unfortunately – Summer…

Chelsea Boots

If it’s full-on throwing it down then waterproof booties will keep feet dry without spoiling your Spring style. Colours of California has an amazing selection of low booties in a wide range of colours, with biker buckles for extra style points. Will look just as good with a sundress or playsuit as with skinny jeans.

Out and About

A sweet jelly ballerina-style shoe is perfect for skipping about town in – and will even work for work! Ted Baker has some gorgeously grown-up jellies featuring a smart bow, and the fact that they wipe clean will keep them looking pristine forever.

Afterdark

There’s absolutely no reason why a waterproof heel can’t work in the evenings – it certainly saves any worries about drinks being spilt on your shoes! If you want to be able to dance the night away in comfort, choose a high flatform style. Braver shoe lovers might want to go for a wedge heel instead.
